The original building is a typical brick duplex house located in a suburbs area. We were commissioned to transform the entrance zone of one dwelling unit with an extension. The new construction is a simple masonry structure that will provide a tiny (4,2 m2) library on the first floor and an entrance hall below (4 m2). Clad in the same brick as the existing facade, it has wide openings that are arranged with larch panels. The massive canopy, supported by a single iron column, painted in vibrant green.
